Since Vanlife is not just a very fast growing hashtag, more and more travellers are out there doing overlanding. Covid has even speedup this process, because you dont need vaccination or quarantaine while travelling in your own country or state.
With the growing amount of travellers, it is often not possible that everyone is digging a hole while staying wild - at the more beatiful and crowded places.

I was not able to find a lot of manufactures who sell dry separating toilet to the US or UK market, so called urine diversion toilet or UDT. I am amazed that this topic has become the most read article over the past 7 years in my other overlanding blog. We usually only use the foldable toilet when nature does not offer a suitable place to do the disposal ourselves with the spade: On rocky ground, on the beach (from a hygienic point of view) and when we stand for a few days in the same place to do the not to burden nature excessively.
Since we are exclusively free in nature ( wild camping ), this is perhaps a bigger issue than for those who prefer to go to campsites with the appropriate infrastructure. Give us a comment, if you have found a product who is good enough to get linked here!
