Travelling with an RTT is not that uncommon anymore, but comes with a couple of disadvantages which are not that well known. We will start with those and will discuss further advantages or disadvantages later on in this article. Often the weight of these roofracks together with a RTT exceed the weight limits that the car manufacturer allows for that roof. In addition, the weight limits as specified by the roofrack manufacturers typically differ between using them off- and on-road. Let's analyze that a bit deeper with the help of an example. I stumbled across an exciting project on the Internet, an absolutely minimalist motorhome based on a motorcycle. There are also exciting extensions for off-road vehicles that are based on a rear extension. The same principle works for motorcycles. Vanlife and Overlanding in Sweden

Where can a Swiss go on vacation in the middle of the second Corona wave (mid to late September)? Many countries had put Switzerland on the risk list - for example Norway. With our travel behavior, mainly wild camping in nature and yet a few days of self-sufficiency, we can indeed complete a quarantine - but the authorities prefer to see a permanent residence / hotel - and not a rolling home. To be able to easy carry enough water for drinking, washing and showering is important for us travellers who likes to be able to stay off grid some days. Easy to fill, easy to store, easy to use. This is less important if you stay at campgrounds with facilityes each night. A view days ago I did detect some great ideas for water storage in our van, 4x4 or rv vehicle. I was able to interview some people who use them since severall years. As always there are some pro and cons about such a product compared to an watertank with solid walls like I showed below.
