Today I would like to compare how well these battery boxes perform compared to a homemade project, at least on paper. And also look at the advantages and disadvantages, not ignoring the cost side. Mods I wouldn`t do again for overlanding or vanlife

After over 68350 miles of international overlanding (110`000km) with the rig showed above, done in the past 9 years it is definitively time for an analytic view. Which mod wouldnt we do again, which mod would we install on a newly buildup? Therefore I did several overlanding trips with rental cars in the US and Asia who was near stock, done by tent and icebox, I can too compare a bit. For shure the travel region makes severall mods more necessary and handy. My rig was done to cross africa and feels very fine for that purpose. Later on the Panamericana it feels partly a bit overdone. A lot of thos stuff is optional for many of us, like the reason why we are travelling extended. Paso Mayer - from O`Higgins to Argentina (routa 40) by 4x4

The most southern crossing between Argentina and Chile is one of these adventures by 4x4 who is not well known. You had to drive over the paso Mayer. Below you can see a Video of these border crossing! Too bad that I didnt know about, as I was there at 2015! For that purpose we did write this blog here, to collect and provide those informations for other travellers! We was even in o`Higgins and not even detect the track leg who is leading to argentina. Pamir Highway - route options and map overview

The Pamir Highway is part of the M41 trunk road , which is the "so called" second highest passable mountain road in the world after the nearby Karakoram Highway. It connects the entire Pamir region from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, to Osh in Kyrgyzstan. Many travellers on the silkroad did called it as one of the most beautiful parts of their jorney.
